SellShareware is the affiliate program by
RegSoft.
The RegSoft service (similarly to RegNow) allows authors of shareware software to easily sell their products online. One of
the features that RegSoft offers is the ability for these authors to run a pay-per-sale affiliate program,
paying 10% to 40% commission on sales (percentage is determined by the shareware author).
If you have a web site, you also have the option of affiliating with any or all of these products, through RegSoft's SellShareware site. You
earn commissions by helping sell these software products.
At the time of writing, the SellShareware may be quite basic-looking, but it is clear, easy-to-understand, and fully functional and offers all the main features all affiliates need (which is not to say that I wouldn't like to see some improvements in stats and locating products to link to).
The best thing about SellShareware is that there are many niche products which you can affiliate to, and all the commissions you are from products that you sell are combined and paid together by RegSoft.
Comparing it other affiliate programs that allow you to earn commission from downloadable products (such as
ClickBank and
RegNow) the main downside to
SellShareware is that the highest commission products are set to 40% (whereas the others offer up to 75%). Even so, there are still many products to promote at SellShareware that might be worth looking at.
Your SellShareware affiliate links either link (I have no idea how this is determined, as I could not see anything in the links themselves that determines this), either to RegSoft's order page, or the shareware author's own web site.
In the later case (as can similarly happen with
ClickBank and
RegNow), you need to watch out the vendor is not taking payments by some other method than RegSoft - because
you only get affiliate credit for RegSoft sales.
