Pay Per Sale
Pay Per Sale affiliate programs generate revenue for you, based on
the sales that you generate for the merchant who runs the affiliate
program.
- Some Pay Per Sale affiliate programs require that you have a web site,
but others do not.
- The amount that you receive per sales, varies between different
affiliate programs, and sometimes between various products offered in
a single affiliate programs.
A common (but not the only) way of calculating affiliate commissions is
a fixed percentage of the sales value generated by the affiliate.
- Pay Per Sale affiliate programs generally will not pay you if
the sale is reversed, charged-back or refunded. Depending on how
the program works, any refunds may show as deductions from your future
commission checks.
- Most (but not all) Pay Per Sale programs are quite flexible
about the types of links and promotion that you can use:
- Many (but not all) provide you with ready-to-use marketing materials.
- Many (but not all) allow you to create your own text describing the product.
- If you are not sure about what is allowed and what isn't, ask the affiliate program operator.
- Some Pay Per Sale affiliate programs allow you to buy from your own
affiliate links - but others do not. Check the rules for your
programs if this matters to you.
